The Taglocke is a multiplayer variant of the Nuzlocke challenge. It follows standard Nuzlocke rules, with one major addition, which is that a team of two or more players are each responsible for a certain section or “leg” of the game and, upon completing their section, they “tag in” the next player.
The Taglocke can easily be combined with other Nuzlocke variants, as the only requirement is for different players to each play a section of the game. It can be attempted with as few as two players, or as many as dozens! This variant is often most interesting when the players involved are of different skill levels, and assigning easier or harder legs to certain players can be done strategically.
This variant can be exciting and tense. Cheering on teammates as they attempt their sections, and knowing that their teammates are relying on them when they’re attempting their own, make this challenge unique and enjoyable for players.
